Join us for a very special summer supper celebrating the timeless French inspired cooking of Elizabeth David, brought to life by acclaimed chef Sally Edwards, and paired with exceptional French wines from our friends at St. JOHN.

We’ll begin with a welcome glass in the meadow before moving into the courtyard for a long-table feast as the evening unfolds. Throughout dinner, the team from St. JOHN Wines will introduce each wine, the vineyards and why each bottle has been chosen to complement the food.

St. JOHN Wines has been an important part of Meadow since we opened our doors last year. Every wine we serve has been selected and supplied by them, and we’re incredibly proud to work with a team whose passion for honest food, thoughtful hospitality and exceptional wine mirrors our own. We’re delighted to welcome them to Meadow to host this special evening.

The menu has been created by Sally Edwards, inspired by the writing of Elizabeth David, whose books transformed British cooking in the 1950s and 60s. Her celebration of seasonal ingredients, simple French cooking and unfussy hospitality continues to inspire generations of cooks and chefs, making her the perfect starting point for a summer evening of food and wine.

This won’t be a formal wine tasting, nor simply a dinner. It’s an evening celebrating the people, books, food and wines that have shaped the way we cook and eat today.
