Yes – the Café is fully wheelchair accessible. There are no steps between the car park and the café, and we have a new disabled-access toilet available for guests. Our outdoor courtyard features a level concrete path, and while the seating area is on pea gravel, tables are spaced with accessibility in mind.

Absolutely. We cater for a wide range of dietary needs, including gluten-free, coeliac, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian diets. Please inform our team of any allergies when you order, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you safely and deliciously.
Yes, well-behaved, clean dogs are welcome inside the café and outside in the courtyard (if they’re a bit muddy after a Quantocks walk!). We have dog bowls and fresh water available.
If you’re booking a table inside and bringing a dog, please just add a note when you book.
To keep things safe and comfortable for everyone including local pets, livestock and free-range children we kindly ask that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times. Please also clean up after your dog and take waste with you.

If your child is under three, you’re welcome to bring baby food and we’ll gladly warm it in hot water for you. Otherwise, we kindly ask that all food consumed on site is purchased at Meadow Café only.
We’re easy to reach, whether you’re strolling from the village, cycling through the lanes, or coming by car, train or bus.
Our favourite way for you to arrive! Meadow Café is just 1 mile from the centre of Bishops Lydeard, and we highly recommend a scenic stroll down Pound Lane to work up an appetite.
Cycling? We’ve got bike racks ready and waiting, so you can park up with ease.
We have two car parks with ample space for both small and large vehicles. Look out for our signs as you approach.
We’re around 12 minutes by taxi from Taunton Station, which has regular services from Exeter, Bristol and beyond. Once you’re here, it’ll feel like a world away!
Bus No. 23 and No. 28 run to Bishops Lydeard.
On the No. 23, you can ask the driver to stop at the top of Teton Lane and from there, it’s a short 400m stroll down to Meadow Café.
On the No. 28, hop off in the centre of Bishops Lydeard (Hithermead stop) and it’s then about a 20-minute walk to the café.
