Education, careers and the modern workplace - a parent's guide by Clare Lewis
(plus free book!)
Thursday 5th March 2026, doors open at 7pm

We’re very excited to be hosting another fireside talk at Meadow Café with MegsPresents. Join us for an informal and informative evening where Clare Lewis will be presenting a parent's guide to education options and the journey to employment.

The market is flooded with baby and toddler books and guides, and how to handle the teenage years...but there is a distinct lack of guidance for parents looking to support their child's progression from compulsory education to further training, education and employment. Especially given so much has changed since parents were themselves that age.

This is a chance to hear it all (and ask lots of questions) first hand and gain proper insight and understanding.

Come and discover how to prepare your child for success in a rapidly evolving job market, facilitate career-curious conversations that build trust and motivation, and confidently guide them from education through to meaningful employment.

Clare is a careers professional with 25 years' experience working across state, independent and further education. She is founder of The Careers Clinic, a careers content creator, author of "Career Conversations with Your Child" and current head of Futures at King's College Taunton.

This evening presentation and Q&A is designed for parents with children aged 14-17 years.

A free copy of Clare's book is included in the £20 ticket price.

Doors open at 7pm, with drinks available for purchase at the bar.

The talk starts at 7.30pm, with an approximate end time of 9pm which includes time for questions and discussion at the end.
