Join us for a very special edition of Cooking the Books, celebrating the food and legacy of Skye Gyngell, a pioneer of the slow food movement and a chef whose instinctive, seasonal cooking has influenced a generation.
For Sally Edwards, this evening is particularly personal. Sally first encountered Skye’s food at Petersham Nurseries, and later at Spring in London. Her generous approach to ingredients, seasonality and simplicity has gone on to shape Sally’s own cooking more than that of any other chef.
Following Skye’s death earlier this year after a battle with cancer, this supper is both a celebration and a tribute: a menu of dishes inspired by her cooking and the philosophy she brought to the table.
An intimate evening of beautiful seasonal food, shared tables and a celebration of one of the most influential cooks of our time.
